TELLaSTORY – storytelling as a basis for inspiring teaching and effective learning

We would like to invite head of the school, teachers, local government officials, organisations and people involved in teaching, education and pedagogy as well as representatives of leading authorities to learn about storytelling, or storytelling as a teaching method. We encourage the exchange of experiences and discussion about the possibilities of its implementation in primary schools or at other levels of education.

The conference will be attended by TELLaSTORY project partners from the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Poland, who will talk about their experiences of pilot implementation of the method in schools.

On the programme:

  • Welcome to participants, partners and honorary patrons.
  • Speeches by the guests of honour.
  • Presentation of the “Storytelling in Teaching” programme – assumptions, tools and benefits. – Magdalena Petryniak, programme coordinator
  • Storytelling in teaching – as an opportunity to build teacher competences/positions (promotion, remuneration).
  • Speech by teachers from Poland, the Czech Republic and Slovenia – ambassadors of the Storytelling in Teaching programme, who will share their experiences in implementing storytelling tools in teaching.
  • Why do we need storytelling in teaching?  – experiences from the Senior Friendly School programme.
  • How to recognise a child who is being abused – presentation by the Advocem Foundation from Krakow.
  • Call for cooperation for teachers and schools wishing to become “Storytelling Schools”.  – Magdalena Petryniak, programme coordinator
  • Closing of the conference and refreshments.
