Fourth meeting of the TELLaStory project
On Monday 16 May and Tuesday 17 May 2022, partners of the TELLaSTORY project met for the first time in person. This was already our fourth international meeting and was hosted by Slovenian partners, the Center for education and culture Trebnje.
The purpose of the meeting was to review the current status of the project and plan the next steps and tasks that await us in the coming months. We are happy to inform you that the English and Polish versions of the Handbook for teachers, scenarios of lessons, cards for teachers and related storyboards are already finished and prepared to be translated into Slovenian and Czech language. At the current moment, Polish partners are developing the podcasts and card game for kids that will be used in the workshops we will organize for kids in primary schools next year.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to planning the TELLaStory Train the Trainer Program, which goal is to prepare the representatives of partner organizations for the role of facilitators of the TELLaSTORY method in their own countries. We agreed that the Train the Trainer course will be held in Prague at the end of November 2022. After that, we will coordinate pilot training for 45 teachers in all partner countries. In this training, the facilitators of the TELLaSTORY method will train the teachers, on how to deliver classroom activities with the use of the TELLaSTORY teaching method, how to use supporting materials, and how to organize and lead extracurricular activities to teach children storytelling.
As per the feedback of the representatives of partner organizations, the fourth international meeting was extremely productive and enjoyable. Participants of the meeting have also enjoyed the guided tour of the Gallery for naïve art that is one of the units of the Slovenian partner organization.
We are looking forward to the next steps that are ahead of us and even more to present you our first materials and Toolkits of the TELLaSTORY teaching method.
